 Preparing well before taking your Pit Bull on an airplane is crucial to having a good trip, particularly if he will be accompanying you. Knowing what items you must bring and what issues you must address before leaving is crucial in ensuring that your Pit Bull is allowed on the plane.

When you are booking a flight, tell the airline that your Pit Bull will be accompanying you immediately. Every country has distinct pet regulations, so your airline should provide you with specific instructions as to where you are headed. You should also find out what restrictions and regulations the airlines have beforehand. It is advisable to make certain everything is in order two weeks before your scheduled flight by calling back. Surprises at the last minute can cause significant delays or prevent you from going at all.

It is not usually necessary for your dog to undergo a medical examination prior to travelling with you, but it is a good idea, so that any prospective issues can be dealt with by your personal vet. Your Pit Bull's health must be certified by your vet. The guidelines for this vary depending on where you are heading and what airlines demand. The certificate must be no older than ten days prior to departure. You should keep the document with you while on the aircraft rather than bring it with you.

It is important to ensure that your Pit Bull wears a collar and tag to avoid any mishaps. Your contact information, the date of his last rabies vaccination, and his license should be listed on the tag. It is also wise to have a friend's information listed on a tag in case of emergencies. Ensure that the kennel meets airline requirements, and that it has both an interior and exterior tag with your information in case of an emergency.

 My Australian Cattle Dog, which is a wonderful canine citizen and everything, has been having difficulty with other dogs because she is so dominant.
